Monica's Journey: Driving Impact Through Technology at Nestlé

I was born and raised in Morelia, Michoacán—a place where independence and curiosity come naturally. From an early age, I learned to explore, ask questions, and figure things out on my own. That mindset stayed with me and became the foundation of how I approach both my career and my life.

Growing up, I realized something important: the path you think you’ll follow isn’t always the one that defines you. What truly shapes your journey are the small inner nudges I call “espinitas”, pushing you to try something new. Every time I followed them, new opportunities opened up. New paths, new perspectives, and new possibilities that I hadn’t originally imagined.

Technology played a key role in that journey. Today, access to knowledge is everywhere. If I need context from another market, I can use AI to understand it instantly. If I need to collaborate across languages, I can rely on digital tools to connect and communicate seamlessly. If I want to learn something new, I can do it online at my own pace.

Because of this, I believe that today the barrier is no longer access. The barrier is the decision to take action.

That mindset has shaped my growth. My career has evolved not because I followed a fixed plan, but because I decided to keep learning, exploring, and moving forward. The ability to access information, develop new skills, and apply them in real time has opened doors that simply didn’t exist before.

My message is simple: the only real limitation is whether you decide to learn and take action. Everything else is already within reach.

At Nestlé, I see this every day. Technology is no longer just an enabler, it’s the driver of transformation.
