Meet Adit
Adit started his career with us as a Production Management Development Associate (MDA) in Jefferson, WI. Now he's taking the next step in his career as a Performance Acceleration Senior Analyst in Vevey, Switzerland, the global headquarters for Nestlé. What does being part of Purina mean to you, and how do you feel your work contributes to the overall mission of enhancing the lives of pets and their owners?
Being part of Purina means having the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through products that improve the lives of pets and the people who love them. Whether supporting manufacturing operations, leading teams, or driving performance improvements, I know that the work we do ultimately helps deliver safe, high-quality products that consumers trust and believe in.
How did the MDA program prepare you for success at Purina?
The MDA program gave me broad exposure to different functions, leaders, and manufacturing environments while challenging me to take on progressively larger responsibilities. It accelerated my development in people leadership, problem solving, and continuous improvement, providing a strong foundation for every role I've held since joining Purina.
What opportunities did you pursue to build an international career path?
I joined Purina with a strong desire to gain a global perspective early in my career. Through the MDA program, I was able to build relationships with leaders across the organization and pursue stretch assignments that expanded my understanding of different markets, manufacturing environments, and operational cultures. Throughout this journey, my mentors and managers played a key role in supporting my development, challenging me to grow, and helping me navigate opportunities aligned with my long-term career goals.
What advice would you give students and recent graduates exploring careers in manufacturing?
Be curious, stay adaptable, and don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Manufacturing offers incredible opportunities to develop leadership, technical, and business skills while making a tangible impact every day. The more willing you are to learn from others, the faster you'll grow.
