Description

Our Nestle R&D facility is charged with driving innovation and global mastership in the baby food category to meet the unique nutritional and developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Group Manager at our Fremont, Michigan location.

Main purpose of job:
Assist the TCU head and the Category Technical Manager in defining global manufacturing & ingredient strategy in order to deliver the manufacturing compass on both sides: introducing new and operating existing. Introducing New= Support business with early management of ensuring supply functions in I&R projects NDC driven, including direct responsibilities of the MRM function. Operating existing = Define manufacturing standards and strongly support CTAG for their deployment (Training/ people competence building). Manage a manufacturing platform (glass jar line).
Key responsibilities:
Support the development of global I/R project (Ensuring supply related directions) to NDC Project Leaders / Project managers (Prod. Dev. or Tech Dev.). Manage MRM function.
Manage within the TCU the Baby Food glass technology platform (Retort, glass management), define Standards and lead deployment through regional structure (CTAG).
Support the deployment of new technology projects through Regional structures (CTAGs).
Provide technical assistance to factories as needed.
Support any technology platform in Defining selected Standards on manufacturing topic

Qualifications

University graduate or post-graduate qualification

At least 15 years in operational (Production, QA, Eng, AG …) and/or R&D experience (Product Development / management, Technical assistance, …).

 

At least 5 years in managing a group within TCU, CTAG, or AG group in factory.

 

At least 5 years in Baby-Food during the last 10 years

 

Specialized functional knowledge :

In-depth product and process knowledge (from raw materials to formulation to processing).

 

Solid understanding on QA systems, filling & packing, costing , safety and environment.

 

Know global product portfolio, composition, positioning and scientific rationale concerning nutrition.
