Position Summary:

Execute process and product development by innovation and renovation of new medical nutrition products and technologies from conception to first plant production while maximizing efficiencies. Deliver challenging, high visibility projects with independent decision making and minimal management supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

*Document, report and present project results to project team and/or to management

*Develop and commercialize competitive medical nutrition products to gain and maintain share in the marketplace.

*Establish close relationships to support the markets/businesses (Scientific & Technical Assistance) to improve performance, product quality and installing new lines

*Lead NCE by example; full accountability of owned NIMS Process. Establish, develop, implement and maintain the owned process (objectives, KPIs, related documents) taking into consideration both planned and unplanned changes.

*Document, report and present project results to project team and/or to management

*Employee is responsible to follow and uphold all Food Safety, Food Quality, Occupational Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures as pertains to role.

*Coach less experienced associates on product development best practices

Qualifications

Experience and Education Requirements:

BSc, MSC, or PhD in engineering, technology or sciences or equivalent          

Minimum 5-7 years applicable science/engineering or related discipline

Prior Experience with and or knowledge of:

Nutritional formulations

Aseptic process development

 Emulsion technology

 Protein/mineral interactions

 HCN institutional and retail business

 Business operating systems and software

 Sensory science              

 

 Preferred Skills:

 Effective consensus building 

 Strong communication skills                            

                               

In addition to the above, you have to demonstrate your ability to work constructively with everyone who contributes; to be open to fresh ideas and leverage diversity of backgrounds and experiences; and to act with integrity. You also have to demonstrate your ability to focus on what matters and make choices; to deliver against clear, actionable and measurable priorities, and to work with a lean and nimble mindset. Finally, you will have to demonstrate your ability to challenge the status quo and to help us change the way people view nutritional therapies in health management, with a can-do attitude and passion.
