The position provides the support, coordination and facilitation of the key activities of the Sensory Laboratory within the Consumer & Insights Area and in all aspects related to the facilitation of consumer testing
-Administers sensory and consumer tests following the Sensory Scientist’s instructions (build session in sensory software, prepare and code samples, provide samples to panelists, etc.).
-Manage products under tests (procurement, storage and disposal, including compliance document tracking systems).
-Utilization of appropriate sensory software for the data acquisition and analysis of data.
-Procure material/supplies as required and suggests improvements.-Responsible for implementing good laboratory practices and safe laboratory behavior.
-Manage sensory equipment and facilities.
-Contribute to initial analysis of panel data and build results report.
-Scheduling and running informal tastings including product preparation, ballot development and reporting.
-Provide support to the screening, training and monitoring performance of panelists (discrimination and descriptive analysis).Maintain records of external panel attendance and administers panels information.
Experience and Education Requirements:
HS Diploma and or GED
3-7 years of demonstrated Sensory laboratory work experience in a food and or related environment
Proficiency and knowledge of the utilization of Sensory Software
Internal Sensory panel recruitment
BS/BA Food Science, Technology, Food Sensory, or Nutrition related academic discipline
