POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading the training for Safety Health and Environmental topics. Support factory team in Safety Certifications and Re Certifications as well as Post Incident Training/Certification if needed. Supports Training Supervisor in the monitoring and implementation of the US Market Safety Minimal Compliance Training matrix.
Training & Development Programs: • Develops and delivers instructor-facilitated courses, eLearnings, and other training solutions • Collaborates with subject matter experts from operations and support teams to develop and deliver training to employees and ensures content aligns with requirements. • Develops an annual training calendar and markets training opportunities to employees • Manage the Safety training calendar in the learning management system which provides frequent sessions to ensure employees have opportunities to complete requirements in a timely way. • Deliver all new hire orientation safety courses such as lockout/tagout, confined space, Friends Helping Friends and Hazard Communication. • Monitors and delivers all safety compliance training • Develops and coordinates safety training for the Nestlé Eau Claire facility and contractors to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and internal Nestlé standards.
Resource for Safety Compliance: • Manages all Safety compliance programs, such as Permit-to-Work, Certified Operator, DOT, ERT, audiograms and fit testing
Safety and Environmental: • Follow factory safety & environmental objectives & targets • Follow the plant safety rules; report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately • Maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs. • Understand the environmental aspects of the position and take action to reduce these environmental impacts by conserving paper, electricity, water etc. Will also recycle all appropriate materials (paper, plastic, food, etc.)
Quality: • Follow factory food safety, quality objectives & targets • Follow Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices; report food safety and quality issues immediately. • Maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to Nestle Quality Management System on all related procedures and programs. • Understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated on QMS, OJT's and SOP's that apply.
Throughout all of these responsibilities, maintains a focus on continuous improvement.
MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Training & Development, Communications, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field. In lieu of degree will consider 3 + years of relavent work experience.
Preferred: • Training or facilitating experience • Work experience in Safety, Risk Management, or Occupational Health • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of a 24/7 manufacturing facility • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning concepts and methods • Advanced computer and internet skills, experience with LMS platforms is preferred • Excellent planning and organization skills, ability to independently manage multiple small to medium scale training projects from initiation to delivery • Excellent written and oral communication, public speaking and presentation skills • Video creation and editing skills are preferred • Ability to adapt to business needs and work in a fast-paced environment • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening, intercultural collaboration and providing feedback • Must be able to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization • Ability to obtain necessary certifications / licenses • Self-motivated Learner/Independently Responsible
