This manager will be a key pillar of the Decision Support function for the Infant Nutrition Business ($1+ billion sales). The role will provide business insights to the leadership team and headquarter office based on ad hoc, variance and trend analyses, risk and opportunity evaluations and financial models and serve as a co-piloting to key functional leads in relation to cost center management. This role will report to Director Decision Support, will have visibility to senior management and potential for growth in different areas of the organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Dynamic Forecasts •Responsible for forecast reporting, including leadership materials and Corporate/Zone Submissions •Support the monthly DF process. Ensure key inputs are received and analyzed, timelines are communicated and adhered to, and proper direction is provided to the relevant business partners •Facilitate cross-functional communication before, during and after process while monitoring necessary execution and follow-ups
Reporting and Analysis •Coordinate the preparation of leadership presentations (e.g. business performance updates to senior management and headquarters) •Coordinate monthly reporting and analysis •Lead the development and implementation of standardized reporting, self-serve reporting and business models which incorporate business intelligence and data visualization tools to support business needs and decision making •Prepare ad-hoc analysis and work on various special projects
Process Improvement: •Proactively identify ways to simplify, automate and improve processes, including developing/enhancing reporting capabilities/analytics and Ad-hoc reporting. Generate new ideas, processes and reports to meet business needs and perform ad hoc special projects and analysis as needed •Collaborate with internal business partners and Finance Leadership to design and present information used to make better, faster business decisions •Work closely with business and functional co-pilots to drive automation end ensure reporting/ forecasting tools are leveraged to increase efficiencies
Cost Center Management •Accountable for tracking actual vs. budget expenses for the responsible department heads; provide variance analysis and commentary and solicit future spending projection for inclusion in forecasts •Perform monthly closing activities, budget (ZBB) and forecasting activities for Assigned Cost Centers
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: •Bachelor’s degree required in Finance or Accounting preferred. MBA degree or CPA a plus •Minimum 8 years of well-rounded relevant Finance experience •CPG Experience highly desirable •Strong system skills. Experience with SAP, or other Business Objects, Analysis for Office, Essbase/SmartView a must •Experience contributing to building reporting, charts, data visualizations with Business Intelligence Tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a preferred •Thorough understanding of internal controls and standard accounting principles •Track record of driving efficiencies, process improvements and automation Strong interpersonal / communication skills •Team player with ability to work with cross functional teams and effectively collaborate across all levels and functions within an organization •Demonstrated ability to juggle numerous tasks and deliver on time with first time quality •Experience within a matrix organization is preferred
