POSITION SUMMARY:
The team member is an hourly warehouse position within the Supply Chain Distribution Center network. They are responsible for a variety of tasks as it relates to the warehousing and shipment of goods. Our distribution centers are a team environment where Team Members will be crossed trained on a variety of tasks within the distribution center. They will do this with a high regard for safety, quality, productivity and cost.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Follow all company standard operating procedures as it relates to Safety, Quality, Operations, and People
-
Load, unload, stage, and store product using various powered industrial trucks
-
Pick product in less than pallet load quantities and manually assemble mixed product pallets
-
Stack/un-stack products as needed, lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 65 lbs. on an occasional basis
-
Manage performance against company productivity standards and measures
-
Follow written work instructions to pick appropriate product for assigned orders
-
Prepare and complete all customer orders including related documentation
-
Operate various computer terminals and bar code scanner to assist with execution of job duties
-
Conduct work activities without adversely affecting the safety of yourself, co-workers, and others
-
Conduct inventory control activities included but not limited to cycle counts and physical verification of inventory status as assigned
-
Keep work area clean and sanitary
-
Use Company documents to conduct business as needed
-
Process damaged product and conduct recoup sorting as assigned
-
General housekeeping and maintenance duties as assigned
-
Regular and on time attendance and ability to work overtime (both voluntary and mandatory) required
-
Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE:
-
A High School Diploma or equivalent degree is required
-
A minimum of 2 years general work experience is required
-
6 months experience operating a Power Industrial Truck (forklift/material handling equipment/construction equipment) is required
-
Prior experience operating slip sheet attachments and/or reach trucks preferred
SKILLS:
-
Basic command of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking)
-
Basic Math including counting, addition, subtraction, and multiplication
-
Basic computer knowledge and use
-
Ability to communicate and function in a team environment
-
Ability to troubleshoot basic problems and take appropriate corrective action
-
Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
-
Ability to work overtime as needed
