Position Summary:
• The Ingredient Handling Technician is responsible for supporting the Pilot Plant and overall site operations in various Pilot Plant activities. This role is primarily responsible for all material handling activities including, but not limited to trial ingredient picking and preparation, inbound and outbound material management, warehousing, and finished goods material management.
• Executes daily tasks in accordance with material management best-practices to minimize inventory adjustments
• Assists in batch preparation by performing weigh-ups and managing the ad-hoc exceptions associated with trial preparation sequencing and prioritizing work to ensure operational continuity
• Supports operations in a safe and conscientious fashion
• Develops functional competencies to act as a secondary support for Sr. Logistics Technician and Shipping/Receiving Clerk and performs any other related duties requested by supervisor(s) with a minimum of instruction.
Experience and Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Material handling and/or production environment exposure
• Working on a team as an individual contributor
• Has experience operating in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment with minimal guidance.
