JOB SUMMARY
Participate as a Logistics team member in a high volume, light manufacturing environment. Perform multiple tasks under fast-paced conditions in a warehouse / yard environment. Duties include working with warehouse technician for timely yard moves (insertions and withdrawals), directing outside drivers, maintenance of truck order in yard, Load trucks when required. Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and Good Manufacturing practices. Interact with warehouse team members and quality control to maximize output and efficiency.
Shift is Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Ensure that all dropped trailers are in doors and loaded in a timely fashion
- Move container and bottle trailers to doors to support production requirements of HDPE
- Accurate loading and unloading of trailers per pick ticket requirements
- Maintain good housekeeping and sanitation in work areas (yard truck & warehouse areas)
- Unload / Load trucks when required
- Process rework damage and/or refused loads
- Assist in returns processing administration
- Assist in Dock Scheduling review and administrative support when required
- Yard Inventory reporting and tracking
- Proper utilization of warehouse space
- Ensure that all information concerning load out on BOL’s is complete and accurate
- Ensure quality standards of product being shipped
- Proper loading techniques (use of air bags, dividers and load bars as required)
- Daily communication updates with Resources and Managers
- Other duties as required
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Class “A” driver’s license, CDL
- Mathematical calculations (multiplication, division, averages, and percentage calculations)
- Problem solving in independent and team setting
- Good physical stamina
- Experience with transportation systems and manufacturing
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Radio communication skills
- Problem solving
- Ability to work in a high pressure / fast paced environment
