The Manager, Internal Communications, ReadyRefresh®, the direct-to-consumer beverage delivery service of Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA), handling day-to-day internal communications for the nearly $1B ReadyRefresh business. The position reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Communication & Corporate Affairs Strategy & Planning, and is based in Stamford, CT.

This individual will develop internal communications strategies to drive ReadyRefresh’s accelerated business growth which includes M&A activity, improving sustainability and creating premium customer experience.

This role requires a self-motivated, internal communications professional with a passion for communicating with and connecting to non-wired (frontline) associates. As this role will be working across all functions and levels, the individual must be a collaborative self-starter who enjoys working at a very fast pace and is an active listener.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with ReadyRefresh management to develop and execute of a cohesive communications strategy for ReadyRefresh. Be an integral part of the team and a critical input to defining, refining and supervising the execution and impact of this strategy.

Own production of all content; coordinate reviews and distribute weekly e-mail Newsletter, as well as be responsible for the development of ongoing associate content to captivate and inform ReadyRefresh associates.

Work closely with associates in different locations/levels in the ReadyRefresh organization, and in close partnership with Human Resources.

In charge of supervising engagement and preparing content for real-time online associate engagement platform (NW Live). Monitor analytics and recommend changes to communications strategies and tactics.

Ensure consistency of key NWNA corporate messages across ReadyRefresh channels to amplify Organizational Health Initiatives and related action plans for ReadyRefresh business.

Lead timely communications requests and day-to-day challenges related to ReadyRefresh associate communications and platforms independently and efficiently.

Demonstrate two-way communication to influence content and messages. Utilize communications and share proof points demonstrating how feedback from the facilities and across levels is incorporated in decision-making, vision and strategy.

Maintain day-to-day contact with branches and local facilities.

Internal Communications

Is a thought partner in developing an internal communications plan and messages that advise and engage associates in more than 70 ReadyRefresh locations across the U.S.

Use internal channels to develop a narrative that empowers associates and demonstrates their connection to the company’s Purpose and the ReadyRefresh business strategy.

Develop articles, videos, digital slides, social posts, presentations, bi-weekly newsletter, leadership communications to ReadyRefresh, and other materials crafted to engage and inform 3,200 ReadyRefresh associates, and at times, the broader NWNA audience.

Develop customized content for key business groups within ReadyRefresh, in-tune with the needs of the field and with clients.

Measure utilization of communication channels and related metrics and make recommendations based on analytics. Maintain and update communications channels to reflect technological advances and latest messaging. Lead communication calendar and editorial content for ReadyRefresh.

Advise on standard methodologies and facilitate delivery of key communications vehicles, including email, weekly video series for Executive / functional leadership, NW Live (employee app) postings, bi-weekly functional communication (The Wave), and internal digital signage, for relevant audience.

Develop communications for ReadyRefresh associate events, Lightening Round Q&A session with senior leaders, Town Halls, and business updates for ReadyRefresh, such as writing calendar invites; coordinate technology platforms/physical space for events.

Establish and be a great partner with a network of contacts to foster two-way communication, maintain pulse and enable communications efforts at a grassroots level in approximately 70+ ReadyRefresh locations.

Develop, supervise and analyze an accessible feedback mechanism across all levels to inform communication evolution.

Skills

We are seeking someone with personal resilience to work in a fast- paced environment. Experience leading through crisis situations.

Ability to influence with integrity and maintain a strong voice and informed perspective. Work a non traditional work schedule as required.

We are looking for someone to be strategic minded and a problem solver. Experience with stewardship and standards change initiatives is a plus.

Creative mentality/innovative approach and experience in how best to communicate to various audience segments, often with opposing interests and needs.

Strong content strategy, messaging, writing, editing, and journalistic skills. Expertise in using technology and applying trends to aid, improve and drive associate engagement.

Ability and discretion to handle confidential business information and to work with Human Resources on associate matters.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work optimal across functions, levels and personalities. Proven good judgment and personal integrity.

Ability to effectively prioritize workload, balance competing urgencies and quickly turn around requests with little direction in a fast-paced environment.

Results-oriented and committed to team success. A commitment to quality with excellent attention to detail and follow through.

Sense of modesty, sense of humor, an excellent teammate and adaptable to changing conditions!

Excellent analytical, organizational, time-management and project management skills.

Other Duties

Accomplish other duties as assigned to facilitate communications programs, campaigns and initiatives.

Supervision

Position requires an independent problem-solver and self-motivated individual. Supervisor provides essential leadership and coaching, along with regular review of status, goals, and objectives.

Key qualifications include:

College degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing Communication preferred.

6-8 years confirmed experience in communications, especially in a customer-centric environment with a dispersed, frontline population.

Experience and comfort collaborating closely with C-suite executives and handling sensitive issues and confidential business matters.

Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint platform and digital and social media platforms.

Proven track record using technology to support communications strategy and execution. Video editing knowledge preferred.

At times when business critical issues arise, must be willing to work outside normal business hours.

Ability to travel as needed to branch locations/offices, factories and other facilities (15-20%).
