POSITION SUMMARY: This individual will be an integral member of Gerber’s Finance team and will report to the Director of Decision Support. Their primary responsibilities will be executing a breadth of analytical tasks in support of the team which require a strong analytical, system and data management skillset. They will coordinate system oriented activities needed to support Hyperion and other systems/tools used by the team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Supporting all aspects of the budgeting, forecasting, and actual reporting processes for the Marketing and Other General Expense (MOGE) cost center function. •Supporting cost center variance analysis. Developing explanations for actuals vs. budget and actuals vs. forecast. Identifying and executing corrective actions as needed to present accurate information and maintaining data integrity •Serving as the database administration for the Hyperion Planning cost center reporting tool. Performing data loads, hierarchy maintenance and end-user support as needed •Supporting headcount tracking and reporting •Maintaining Hyperion standard and ad-hoc reports •Providing data modeling and template maintenance in support of the Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) data collection process •Serving as a super user with strong knowledge base of the SAP accounting software •Providing period-end close (PEC) support
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: •Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting with strong data management skills with a minimum of 2 years of experience •Strong background in accounting-specific software applications; in-particular SAP, Excel, Hyperion Planning, and Smart View. Experience in Analysis for Office and Power BI are a plus. •Prior data management and Essbase experience •Strong interpersonal / communication skills •Team Player and ability to work with cross functional teams and effectively collaborate across all levels and functions within an organization •Ability to juggle numerous tasks, to work independently and on a team, and deliver projects on time with first time quality •Presentation development; strong PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills •Ability to utilize technology to enhance efficiencies •Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
