Position Summary: Complete timely execution of product registrations for international markets, import permits and various supportive documents to ensure that NPPC maintains a competitive edge in sales of pet food worldwide. Flawless execution of regulatory export documentation for successful export of NPPC products world-wide. Utilize strong communication and influencing skills in conjunction with a basic understanding of international governmental affairs to promote the business interests of NPPC. Represent NPPC to international affiliates.
Prepare and submit regulatory documentation for registration of NPPC product lines in compliance with current international laws
Prepare regulatory export documentation to assure compliance with international law.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with local, regional and HQ APHIS personnel to ensure communication and creative problem solving.
Manage import permits for NPPC products by renewing existing permits, creating new permits and troubleshooting any import issues that may arise.
Attend project meetings and provide regulatory and technical guidance to assist with import document preparation for NPPC Import & Export.
Respond in a timely manner to regulatory agency inquiries concerning product registration, licenses/permits and inspection fees.
Help maintain regulatory files associated with worldwide registration, inspection fees, licenses/permits and regulatory agency correspondence.
Interface with Intermarket Business Group, Regulatory & Scientific Affairs, Technical Services, Quality and Operations.
Participate in global regulatory meetings as a member of Pet Food Institute

B.S.or B.A. in Nutrition, Animal Science, Biochemistry, or related sciences field.or relevant experience in a heavily regulated area such as Pet Food,Food, Feed, Pharmaceutical, Chemical or related field
3 to 5 years of experience in the pet food or food industry. International import/export experience helpful
