The Customer Account Manager will drive the Nespresso capsule, machine and milk-frother business on Amazon Retail, including Amazon business.
A Day in the Life:
• Work with cross-functional teams in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to optimize terms, promotions / activations, merchandising, digital shelf, brand stores, product detail pages, ratings & reviews and overall consumer experience.
• Own the relationship with the buyer(s) in kitchen, grocery and all other applicable Amazon channels / teams. i.e. Amazon Business, Advertising, Amazon in-stock (when applicable) etc.
• Be responsible for negotiating annual terms and ensure partnership terms are honored by partner retailers.
• Manage the portfolio to grow the business accounts to ensure price integrity as the business grows.
• Own site merchandising and all immersive content
• Manage the promotional calendar and own the end to end strategy and execution of tentpole events.
• Own the media strategy on the platform and find ways to remarket. Grow the Nespresso brand on the platform in partnership with retailers’ advertising teams, the performance media manager, brand media manager in Nespresso and performance media agencies.
• Securing alignment and validation of strategy with Finance, Marketing team and HQ. Teams.
• Exchange best practices with the global community within Nespresso and ensure the U.S. leads on priority initiatives.
• Reporting and Analysis; Support Commercial Analytics team with inputs for forecasting.
• Develop talent and grow competencies within the team; Be responsible for team career planning
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field, Marketing/Digital Marketing, Finance, Economics required.
• 5+ years’ experience working for a major Pure Player required. Former Amazon.com Vendor Manager or Inventory Planner PREFERRED.
• 3+ years’ experience managing “other ecommerce” business whether Direct Channel or Brick & Mortar.com is a plus
• Experience in Strategic Planning required. Ability to develop and present a strategic vision to Senior Leadership, securing alignment and validation across multiple cross-functional business units plus external stakeholders.
• Strong Project Management skills with experience in strategic planning and execution required.
• Demonstrates ability to work under pressure, managing several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Strong Analytical skills – Ability to work with numbers: generate reports and statistical data, interpret that data and in turn identify problems, opportunities, trends and develop solutions required.
• Travel required 10-12 trips between NYC & SEATTLE per year and 1-2 HQ
