POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibilities of this position are to support the Customer Manager in accelerating the assigned Nestle businesses in all Amazon channels (1st Party, 3rd Party, Fresh/Prime Now, Brick & Mortar). Job functions would also include a full spectrum of data analysis, consumer and category insights, assortment, and merchandising recommendations for both physical and virtual shelf, using category management principles to exceed division’s Organic Growth, Volume, profit, share targets, and assigned customer/channel specific goals. Success in the role is defined as a category and customer expert to the internal Commercial Development Team and externally to the customers – buyers, marketing, and insights teams. The position is responsible for driving the Nestlé Health Science Consumer Care and Medical Nutrition (E-Commerce) portfolios.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Support the Customer Business Managers delivering specific objectives in each Amazon channel. Provides fact based analysis of Nestle and competitive performance, category insights, virtual shelf recommendations and proactive insights in our fastest growing customer. Support division’s innovation and renovation – both national and Amazon specific during item set-up, launch, and post-launch. Specific to Amazon – support our growth across all platforms including Inventory Management support and purchase order analysis. •Utilize available technology (Syndicated POS/Panel, Retailer POS/Inventory, shopper data, Edge) and other resources avaialable market and consumer insights) to track, analyze, and evaluate internal and external business trends and offers actionable insights to achieve category/aisle business growth goals. Incorporate fact-based consumer and shopper insights to provide recommendations related to the Categories and Nestlé’s item assortment and merchandising. •Analyzes new item sales to track performance against objectives. Analyzes account specific POS or available syndicated data to achieve share of shelf, market share, merchandising flow, and promotional objectives. Executes item assortment optimization to achieve distribution, share of shelf, and shelf layout goals. Continually develop consumer and category insights. Identify business opportunities and solutions. Assist with Ad-Hoc reporting to meet customer and internal Nestlé needs. •Digital shelf management: Evaluate current virtual shelf and develop / implement improvements for Amazon platforms. Working with Customer Business Manager and Amazon agency, evaluate the ROI of our Trade and Marketing Spend incluing internsal quarterly reviews and proactive insights to maximize our growth. . Evaluate share of shelf (share of search) opportunities. Continually develop consumer and category insights. Identify business opportunities and solutions. •Support customer, Customer Business Manager, and internal sharing reporting/score-carding and insights generated.
REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION LEVEL:
• Bachelor’s Degree required • Minimum of 1-year CPG relevant experience, Category analyst, internal or field based • Ability to analyze, interpret and develop recommendations from syndicated data sources • Experience working with customer specific datasets • Technical skill set including Shipment and Consumption analytics experience • Digital/ E-Commerce experience and developing creative analytic solutions preferred • Ability to collaborate & influence and effectively work cross functionally • Must be able to travel up to 15% of total time to visit markets across U.S.
