POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking a Sr. Finance Manager to join our team to help develop strategy and drive business performance. You will provide insight and foster a fact based decision-making culture by utilizing the knowledge of the current business environment & specialist financial knowledge; challenging new strategies & new projects, as well as the status quo. This high visibility, individual contributor role will support the Gerber Puree and Pouch business as well as a new exciting Innovation business. The Senior Manager will lead day-to-day financial management activities of the segment as well as provide financial guidance for product development, new business opportunities, and cost savings initiatives. The Sr. Manager will also work with cross-functional business partners and Senior Leadership Team including the Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer to both develop and meet both short and long-term business objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: BUSINESS CO-PILOT TO THE TEAM: •You will actively participate in Monthly Business Planning Meetings (forecast creation), to develop financial forecasts (monthly) as well as risks and opportunities to the forecast, to provide an accurate and timely outlook on business performance. •You will champion the creation of the Integrated Commercial Planning (budget creation) as an extension of the forecast process, to help facilitate the creation of business targets, and plans to achieve such targets. •You will participate as the finance lead on innovation projects and prepare business cases for these projects. •Support the development of Market Business Strategies (long term strategic plans), including financial roll-ups of these strategies, to ensure proper resource allocations and factory/co-man capacities, including capital requirements. •The successful individual will have a strong finance or accounting background, superior communication and people skills, ability to learn quickly, a solid understanding FMCG/CPG and the ability to deliver high performance work both within a team and independently. •You will review monthly performance and identify areas of risk to achievement of targets and forecasts and develop/follow up action plans; compile commentary on monthly performance to senior management.
STRATEGIC INITIATIVE SUPPORT: •You will support Business Innovation and Renovation pipeline including development of Manufacturing and Sales & Distribution structure modeling and follow-up; compilation of financial data for new product development activities. •You will conduct ad-hoc analytics (pricing, channel profitability, competitive benchmarking, consumption vs. shipment analytics, etc.). •Lead the development, management and communication of financial initiatives as needed.
FINANCIAL CONTROLS: •You will ensure fiduciary responsibilities are upheld across all business decisions. •Ensure a deep understanding of the value creation framework among the non-finance experts. •You will prioritize and as appropriate expand the Nestle Continuous Excellence journey across the organization (both finance and beyond) •Improve processes, prioritization, and standardization across the Baby Food segments
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: •Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required in Accounting or Finance •5-7 plus years of experience required within Finance •Budgeting/forecasting experience required; familiarity with financial systems and tools •Business Co-Pilot experience (P&L modeling background) preferred •Scenario planning/analytical skills for base & product development preferred •Experience within a matrix organization preferred •The successful individual will be a self-starter with superior interpersonal skills, the ability to learn quickly, a have a high level of agility to deliver high performance across projects and responsibilities.
