This role is responsible for leading development of the Nestlé Health Science Medical Nutrition pipeline and delivering innovation aligned to the business strategy. The person will use a wide range of resources to find opportunities to build the business which includes brands such as Peptamen, Compleat, Impact and Alfamino. Responsibilities include strategic assessment of market opportunities, trend tracking, white space exploration, concept validation, developing P&Ls and being responsible for the innovation process working closely with brand teams to plan a successful launch. While the role is passionate about Medical Nutrition, there is a positive relationship with Consumer Care as there are often opportunities to lead transversal projects that bridge the divisions.
Lead the assessment and prioritization of existing and proposed new product opportunities for Medical Nutrition
Collaborate with cross-functional partners and global category teams to recommend market research, establish product profiles, identify success hurdles and make launch recommendations
Evaluate, develop and lead transversal initiatives bridging Medical Nutrition and Consumer Care
Develop and lead ideation workshops and activities
Supervise internal and external new product activity and implications for Nestle Health Science
Provide strategic assessments and recommendations of ad hoc new product opportunities
Lead or support commercial assessment of business development opportunities (i.e., acquisition, licensing, partnership)
Lead teams to develop new products by defining the market opportunity and product profile, developing research plans, building the P&L, identifying and managing hurdles to success, and providing internal updates
Drive launch excellence commercialization efforts via regular cross-functional team meetings to resolve issues and engage senior management for updates/decisions
Provide appropriate communication to internal and external partners regarding launch/market rollout of new initiatives
Project tracking & monitoring
Accountable for key project metrics (scope, schedule, cost, financial targets, compliance and adherence to governance process) and providing updates to management

Experience: 5+ years experience in brand management at a healthcare or food/beverage company with a demonstrated track record of new product concept development, validation and launches.
