As a Pouch Plant Supervisor, you will join our factory in northeastern Pennsylvania, which manufactures ALPO, and Friskies brand canned cat and dog food along with Friskies pouch products. Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown – or Lehigh Valley – is in close proximity to many of the major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. The Control Room/Level 4 Production Operators safely and efficiently operate and troubleshoot all aspects of the computer based control systems for the upper and lower high pressure plates and loaf batching systems, which are needed to produce the finished product. You will also be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various areas and equipment using proper PPE and hand tools. There are currently two open positions for second shift. Overtime and some weekend work are required as well.
Responsible for the equipment and controls in the complete loaf batching and high pressure plate systems.
Enter formula information into the control system, and adjust speeds, temperatures and quantities in order to produce a high quality product.
Coordinate with other departments in all elements of product changeovers.
Select pre-programmed recipes from process controllers to deliver the proper formulation.
Diagnose and make minor adjustments to equipment as needed, reporting any mechanical or safety concerns to supervisor.
**Perform other duties as directed by supervision.**
Basic Qualifications (Minimum):
High School Diploma or GED Required
2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, production, agriculture, military or related environment
