OVERVIEW: Dock Coordinators interact with the leadership group, other warehouse team members, quality assurance, maintenance technicians, and production team to improve and maximize plant output, efficiency, quality and safety. They participate as team members in a high volume, light manufacturing environment. Duties include running shipping requirements daily, analyzing bin transactions, coordinate warehouse actions, maintain warehouse office supplies, reconcile open orders, and managing inventory accuracy for raw materials and finished goods.Coordinators must maintain area in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
·Work to continually improve plant systems, processes, procedures and results
·Utilize process improvement techniques, tools and procedures
·Adhere to good housekeeping standards and good manufacturing practices
·Coordinate drop trailer program
·Greet drivers for pick-ups when needed
·Track damaged product movements in SAP
·Reconcile shipping and open orders
·Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP
·Have the ability to problem solve and make decisions in independent and team settings
·Have good communication skills to work with factory personnel and vendors
·Possess basic computer knowledge – SAP desired, Proficient in Microsoft Excel
·Have a baseline understanding of mathematics (multiplication, division, averages, and percentage calculations)
·Functional production/inventory knowledge
·Report out national inventory Key Performance Indicator’s
·Assist in resolution of damaged material issues
·Assist in the reconciliation of SAP and QA counts of all hold product
·Experience with Annual Physical Inventory process
Key qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications desired
Must be licensed and qualified to operate a sit down fork truck, standup, and pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner.
Must have good basic math skills to insure accurate loading/unloading of trucks.
Must have the ability to operate a computerized system on a daily basis
Analytical problem solving skills
Fluent English language written and oral
Basic computer skills (Microsoft office)
High school degree or equivalent
College Degree Preferred
Forklift certification (provided at site)
