The Business Development Manager (BDM) for International’s primary responsibility is to continue to accelerate our sales growth in International Business in China and expansion to new markets for GERBER. The position is the primary contact to the assigned distributors and retailers for all sales and distributor management related activities.
Distributor & Key Account Management: • Sell-in / out, payment control • Forecast accuracy and supply mgt • PTA and distributor margin budget co-management • New product introduction • Development of route-to-market initiatives based on retailer requirements
New Market Expansion Support: • Supporting the head of international business in the planning and setup of identified partners for new market expansion
Operational Excellence: Smooth setup of identified partners for new markets
Key Relationships External to Nestlé Group • External Customers, Retailers
Key Experiences: • Training and experience in the following areas: Interpersonal Skills, Sales and Negotiation Skills, Time Management, Project Management • Sales Forecasting and Trade Fund Management • Ability to analyze, interpret and develop recommendations from various data sources • Must be able to work well and thrive within a fast-paced environment • Ability to collaborate and effectively work cross functionally • Strong technical skill set including – Excel/ PowerPoint • E-Commerce knowledge and experience • Preferred – 5 plus years of industry related experience preferred; knowledge of shipment reporting metrics
Working Requirements: • Must be able to travel up to 25-40% of total time to support customer meetings, national sales meetings and attend any necessary training
