To strengthen our IT North America HUB in St Louis, we are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to complete our Analytics, Data and Integration (ADI) Department. This position will be part of the Global Business Solution Integration Team, which supports Nestlé markets worldwide through a group of Hubs in different locations that provide support in a shifting time window (Follow the Sun Model).
In this position, you will be accountable for supporting proactively and holistically Enterprise Architecture (EA) activities within the Product Groups and Platforms that fit within the overall EA and meet the product group strategy, such as APIs, microservices, and accelerators. As a Solutions Architect, you will provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of a product or a set of products within a product group. You will work closely with DevOps / development teams and suppliers to secure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way and you will be accountable for supervising the design as well as the integration execution within the scope, owning the solution architecture specification.
Enable the integration community through capability building and the promotion of self-service integration methods
Manage and develop the architecture for a set of products / platforms utilizing an API first approach and ensuring maximum reusability
Deliver the architectural design for products and inputs to the roadmap by utilizing knowledge of defined reference architectures, technology trends, and implementation experience in order to translate a business need into a solution blueprint that represents an end-to-end technical solution
Lead the implementation and integration of technical architecture across a product group based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements
Identify the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures or culture) and financial impact of the solution architecture
Define and document the guidelines, standards and solution architecture to ensure product-based decisions are aligned with the enterprise’s future-state architecture vision
Design and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring product architecture assurance and compliance
Engage with Tech Leads, BAs, Product Managers and Solution Architects within (and across) the product groups to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise architecture
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems, systems analysis or a related study
3+ years of experience working as a solution architect in a solution integration context including application integration, data integration and agile methodologies that leverage APIs.
8+ years of overall experience in at least three IT solution development disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, database management or operations
Experience working in a global environment, with virtual teams and outsourced entities
Knowledge and strong expertise in applying solution integration patterns across the enterprise. Including application, data and API led design concepts enabling data and transaction flow for scenarios such as application to application, business to business(B2B), user centric, things, data migration, data replication, master data sync
Experience in defining policies, standards and processes that enable consistent API delivery
Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
