Position Summary: The primary role of the Financial Analyst is to support the business planning and financial analysis function of the US Nestle Health Science Business and provide support to the AD Finance Controller. The position will also provide support to other business functions to provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis. Provide financial reporting to the US business and Research and Development.
Key Responsibilities: • Preparation of month end reporting, journal entries and management letter, as well as other reports in various business systems needed (i.e. cost center/MOGE review/reporting) • Preparation of month end reporting, journal entries and management letter, as well as other reports in various business systems needed (i.e. cost center/MOGE review/reporting). • Preparation of ICO’s, deposits, as needed for the business. • Management and tracking of various purchase orders needed by the business team (i.e., co-man, lease/taxes, operating costs, etc.). • Assistance and execution of F&C Optimization Planning (streamlining reporting & processes – ongoing). • Support period end close through journal entry postings, analysis, creating financial reports, and assist in creating presentations to support the business needs. • Continually evaluate and challenge processes and reporting practices, aiming to drive efficiency and automation, while implementing changes as needed. • Coordinate Actuals and DF Meetings with the Finance team, assuring proper preparation and actions after.
Experience and Education Requirements: • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA a plus • 2+ years of experience in planning and reporting • Background or experience in Accounting
Preferred Skills: • Excellent Excel skills • Experience using SAP • Excellent analytical skills • Strong business and financial acumen • Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to effectively utilize other software packages such as Access, and PowerPoint • Proven ability to communicate financial information to non-financial personnel • Ability to interact effectively in a fast-paced matrix environment and gain support with all levels of the organization
