Responsible for directly leading, evaluating, training, and on-boarding assigned Field Service Technicians (FST’s), Preventative Maintenance Technician (PMT’s) and Office Coffee Service Route Sales Delivery Representatives (OCS RSR’s). To ensure delivery of key performance indicators (productivity, in-branch time, achieve road net versus actual target, overtime, direct materials expense, and parts/inventory levels). To ensure proper execution of each role’s Method-Of-Operation (MOO) through route rides, hands-on training, coaching, analysis of parts and fittings inventory levels, use of Field Service Technician/ Office Coffee Service Manual, proper installation and service techniques, product rotation, etc.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead process execution through route rides, SOP/manual reinforcement and regular communication with leadership. Particular focuses are on:
Quality of technical skill and service provided, reduce and/or eliminate repeat service calls, execute route Safety observations (Smith Systems principles), 3-4 evaluation route rides per week
Minimizing operational expenses by reinforcing Direct Materials (DM) inventory process, managing overtime and in-branch time, trouble-shooting and resolving equipment issues, improving each role’s productivity level
Maximizing revenue opportunities by supporting, demonstrating, and reinforcing up-sell process (execute promotional programs and sales activities), ensuring appropriate price/fees for all products and services
Continuously improving customer satisfaction
Execution of performance management process (role specific scorecards, mid-year / annual calibration, performance reviews, etc.)
Partners with functional leaders to ensure support of business strategy (Route, Sales, Logistics, Finance, ESC, etc); anticipate and resolve issues as necessary to ensure successful business performance; ensure staffing levels are maintained and proper relief coverage is provided
Conducts operational meetings on Mondays, conduct field work-withs and observations on Tuesdays through Thursdays, and execute analytical and administrative processes on Fridays of each week
Operates with a method of operation that produces results in the areas of building customer loyalty and teaching safe work practices, providing strong influence for route productivity, leading sales and distribution processes, and leading direct leadership and development activities
Provides product expertise to organization as needed to support business, including customer calls and internal training of sales, customer service, and leadership employees; understand local competitive environment, make recommendations or provide information as requested for business strategy
Supports internal knowledge base through training sessions with Direct Sales, manage local third party providers; communicate technical updates to field; update FS Manual and Certification Training materials as needed.
Provide technical expertise and support for large, complex installation projects

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
5+ years experience in Direct Delivery, Point Of Use, or Office Coffee businesses 2+ years experience performing hands-on Point Of Use equipment, plumbed-in Office Coffee brewing equipment work (as Field Service Technician) or similar work
Possess values of operating with the highest integrity and ethics standards
Possess the ability to lead/influence frontline employees
In-depth knowledge of our Home and Office division (Direct Delivery) business
Strong knowledge of Point Of Use equipment, plumbed-in Office Coffee brewing equipment and/or other related product lines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possess advanced coaching/training/presentation skills and good organizational skills
Possesses the ability to work effectively across a matrix organization with strong service orientation
Demonstrates a strong sales focus
Advanced leadership presence – ability to generate excitement and alignment around business objectives
