POSITION SUMMARY: Properly moves and spots trailers while operating a motorized vehicle in a safe and correct method as prescribed by company policy. Assists with loading and unloading of trucks when necessary and during idle time.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES : 1. Perform case pick, load and unload shuttle trailers, as well as load and unload regular loads if time permits. 2. Moves/spots all trailers as directed. When there is not a working dock lock where spotted then the rear wheels must be chocked. 3. Supports wet plant and can plant by moving or spotting trailers as they are needed. 4. Performs all job duties in a safe manner, abiding by all safety rules and policies.
5.Perform all other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must have a valid CDA License.
Experience (Years/Type): 1+ Years experience driving a commercial trailer.
Skills: 1. Must be willing and able to work in a team environment. 2. Must maintain valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL A) 3. Must obtain a Nestle Purina PetCare forklift license. 4. Need to have good computer, reading and math skills. 5. Must have ability to make good decisions. It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
