As a Senior Operations Specialist for our data center in Phoenix, AZ, you’ll be accountable for utilizing Agile practices to deliver end-to-end secure and compliant enterprise data center network design and infrastructure implementations. Delivering senior level support to assess and resolve data center network critical infrastructure issues impacting services and availability will ensure the way we store data evolves as quickly as how we use data. You will provide the network capacity planning, monitoring, compliance assessments, overseeing the “end of life” legacy infrastructure initiatives, and conducting root cause analysis within our cloud enabled data center to ensure Nestlé’s success in the marketplace.
Deliver efficiencies on the supported solutions, Datacenter (DC) Platforms, and Services lifecycles
Implementation of DC solutions in our enterprise level organization and distribute systems across the globe
Handle occurrences of full stoppage of operations from IT system failures
Reviews new solutions and processes for details of operational requirements input and sign-off
Investigates and reviews existing solution deficiencies, gaps (solution stability & availability), and submits operation improvements
Define compliance monitoring and alerting framework for critical architectural elements to ensure compliant control points are executed
Develop and maintain a network of internal and external specialists who are responsible for the solution that will define and deliver training, provide knowledge transfers, and the strategies for the implementation and operations of the new or enhanced solutions
Define global procedures and processes including the definition of design requirements for successful operations
Drive the process internally and with the external suppliers in proactive issue prevention and reactive root cause elimination
Oversee the support processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management
Ensure IS/IT strategic service partners provide the required level of service, system performance and functionality required to meet business commitments
Participates in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities with a focus on suitability for integration with the existing IS/IT operations environment
Runs small-scale projects (managed work activities) for the deployment of functionalities
Works with product or platform teams to ensure good coordination of IS/IT changes without impacting business processes
Responsible for operational compliance of all technology-related issues across IS/IT including information security, privacy, business continuity, identity management, user access and data integrity
7 years’ minimum experience in an enterprise level LAN/WAN data center environment
5 years’ minimum project experience with the design of server room networks or data center architectures
Technical experience supporting and maintaining Cisco hardware/software, Checkpoint Firewalls, and F5 Load Balancers
Experience with Orion Network Monitoring Tools, ServiceNow, DevOps, and Power BI Apps
Experience with the OSI model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP packet capture and analysis
Knowledge of secure network infrastructure and routing protocols (i.e. BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
Knowledge of Python scripting for network automation
Experience with hybrid Datacenter environments and Datacenter infrastructure
CAPEX / OPEX planning and execution
Experience with Agile Framework using Azure DevOps, Jira or other related tools
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related study
