JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing the necessary work related to the care of the pets under general supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Knowledge of and compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and all
procedures and protocols in the Nestlé Purina R&D Petcare Manual 2. Adherence to Nestlé Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Good
Laboratory Practices (GLP) 3. Perform all necessary cleaning and sanitation duties 4 . Daily feeding of the pets not on trials 5. Perform grooming 6. Obtain animal body weights and body condition scoring as required 7. Accurate and reliable data entry 8. Provide socialization programs for pets 9. Assist with care for and monitor growth of puppies and kittens as needed 10. Report to the veterinary staff sick animals or unusual behavior observed in
the cats or dogs 11. Report to the supervisor any broken or damaged equipment, item or
physical area 12. Maintain a safe, clean and sanitary work environment and practice safety in
the work place
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge): • High School Diploma (or GED) • Experience with animal husbandry and regular care of animals • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a team • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, organization, and math skills • Computer literacy
