Career Tips from Nestlé Talent Acquisition

Interviews are an opportunity to highlight your strengths, reflect on your experiences, and demonstrate how you can contribute to a purpose‑driven organization. This guide is designed to help you present your best self at every stage of the process.

To communicate your experiences clearly and confidently, we recommend using the STAR Method.

Your Nestlé Interview Prep Framework

Follow our best practices to help you feel confident and prepared for your interview.

1. Do your research

Explore our history and culture to gain a clear sense of what it’s like to grow your career at Nestlé. We suggest reviewing your interview team on LinkedIn to understand their roles, backgrounds, and areas of focus.

2. Identify Your Core Stories

Prepare 4–6 compelling examples from your past experiences that best showcase your skills and how you embrace challenges. Topics could include innovation, cross‑functional collaboration, agility, problem‑solving, and more.

These can come from:

  • Work
  • Internships
  • School projects
  • Volunteerism
  • Personal endeavors

3. Practice Telling Your Story

Practice your responses in 3-5 minutes per example but avoid memorizing them word-for-word. You want to sound natural and unscripted.

Ways to practice:

  • Do a mock interview with a friend
  • Record yourself and play it back
  • Outline your STAR method stories in bullet form

This builds confidence and helps you speak naturally.

4. Expect To Answer Follow-Up Questions

Our interviewers may dig in further to understand:

  • How you made decisions
  • Why you chose certain actions
  • What the impact of your choices has been
  • What you might do differently now

5. Come with Questions of Your Own

Your curiosity matters to us. Consider asking about:

  • Team culture
  • How success is measured
  • A day in the life of the role
  • Learning and development opportunities

We want to ensure that working at Nestlé is the right fit for you.

How to Shine During Your Interview

  • Be detailed: Paint a clear picture so we can fully understand your impact.
  • Stay recent: Use examples from the past few years whenever possible.
  • Focus on “I”: Even in team settings, we want to hear about your contributions.
  • Pause when you need to: It’s perfectly okay to take a moment to think—thoughtfulness shows self-awareness.
  • Be yourself: We want to understand who you are, how you work, and what motivates you.
