As a Logistics Support Manager, you will establish strategies and goals for all network warehouse operations (Wet, Dry, Litter, Canada and Merrick) for Nestle Purina PetCare (NPPC) with a focus on performance improvement, customer service and cost reduction initiatives. Provide automation support for data collection and analytics using systems such as SAP, Labor Management Systems (LMS), Customer Information, etc.
Assist with providing cost justification and return on investment analysis on automation projects.
Drive performance improvement (increase productivity and lower overtime) at existing locations that are on Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and quickly identify ways to close performance gaps during new deployments of EWM.
Coordinate site timelines for PINC Yard Management systems with EWM at plants and lead continuous improvements of deployment processes and on-going system upgrades.
Install LMS at new locations and work long-term with to continuously drive productivity and cost reductions
Establish weekend and week of cutover plans for EWM go live dates and work closely with Customer Facing Supply Chain, Operations Planning and EWM deployment teams.
Travel to NPPC locations for EWM/PINC lives and go lives.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
- High School Diploma or GED AND 5+ years’ experience in plant warehousing, supply chain or distribution operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field AND 3+ years’ experience in plant warehousing, supply chain or distribution operations.
