As a Solution Architect for infrastructure, you’ll be accountable for proactively and holistically supporting Enterprise Architecture (EA) activities within various Product Groups and Platforms that fit within the overall EA and meet the product group strategy. You will be the infrastructure expert within the organization for operational expertise, coaching and supporting Technical Experts and Senior Specialists.
You will provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of a product or a set of products within a product group. S/He works closely with DevOps / development teams and suppliers to secure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way according to the product strategy and the overall value for money objectives linked to the IS/IT strategy.
Design documents and standards that address business and receiver needs
Deliver efficiencies on the supported solutions, Datacenter (DC) Platforms, and Services lifecycles
Deliver training and high-level support to advanced operations teams
Implementation of DC solutions in our enterprise level organization and distribute systems across the globe
Directly manage and leading offshore and nearshore support teams
Handle occurrences of full stoppage of operations from IT system failures
Reviews new solutions and processes for details of operational requirements input and sign-off
Investigates and reviews existing solution deficiencies, gaps (solution stability & availability), and submits operation improvements
Manage the implementation of change requests and collaborate on post implementation reviews and problem resolutions
Manage change deployment through suppliers, execute complete changes, perform post-implementation review, and root cause analysis
Define compliance monitoring and alerting framework for critical architectural elements to ensure compliant control points are executed
Develop and maintain a network of internal and external specialists who are responsible for the solution that will define and deliver training, provide knowledge transfers, and the strategies for the implementation and operations of the new or enhanced solutions
Define global procedures and processes including the definition of design requirements for successful operations
Drive the process internally and with the external suppliers in proactive issue prevention and reactive root cause elimination
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related study
7 years’ minimum experience in an enterprise level business or IT environment
5 years’ minimum experience supporting and implementing infrastructure solutions including operating systems (Linux, UNIX, Microsoft, etc.) and associated backup and recovery utilities
Technical experience in managing and improving diverse enterprise infrastructure environments
Expertise with SAN or other Enterprise Storage Systems
Experience supporting infrastructure of complex SAP HANA environments
NetBackup/NetApp and HPE 3PAR storage experience
Understanding of backup and storage solutions such as IBM TotalStorage and TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager/IBM Spectrum Protect)
Experience with design and architecture of golden images of Linux, Windows and other operating systems for corporate and cloud deployment
Experience working within Hyper-converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments
Expertise in providing fully encompassing administration and support of at least 2 SAP modules
Previous experience overseeing Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server instances
