Customer Business Manager - International Business

Gerber Products Company dba Nestlé Infant Nutrition is seeking a Customer Business Manager of International Business, based out of the Los Angeles, CA area

The Customer Business Manager (CBM) primary responsibility is to continue to accelerate our sales growth in International Business in China and expansion to new markets for Gerber. The position is the primary contact to the assigned distributors for all sales and distributor management related activities. In addition, the position will also assist in the marketing & commercial related activities for the International Business.

Main Responsibilities

Distributor Management For T1 and Nestrade:
  • Sell-in / out, payment control
  • Forecast accuracy and supply mgt
  • PTA and distributor margin budget co-management
  • New product introduction 
  • Development of route-to-market initiatives based on retailer requirements
C2C Development:
  • Developing a system to transparently view C2C customers of T1/2/3 & Nestrade distributors
  • Developing programs to influence the demand generating programs of C2C customers via distributors
Demand Generation Support For B2C Customers:
  • Supporting our China (and other markets) activities in the US (ie US customer visits, live show development) liasing with other US functions (ie marketing, corporate affairs, manufacturing/quality, R&D)
New Market Expansion Support:
  • Supporting the head of international business in setting up identified partners for new market expansion

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Experience in the following areas: Interpersonal Skills, Sales and Negotiation Skills, Time Management, Project Management 
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and develop recommendations from various data sources
  • Ability to collaborate and effectively work cross functionally
  • Strong Microsoft Office applications experience (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25-40% (includes international travel) of total time to support customer meetings, national sales meetings and attend any necessary training
  • Must be willing to work irregular hours to meet the demands of the business due to the international scope of work and client locations.  
  • Must be able to work well and thrive within a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Field Sales and industry related experience
  • Knowledge of shipment reporting metrics
  • International sales experience 
  • International distributor management experience
  • E-commerce experience 
  • Fluent in English and Chinese
