Description

Nestle Nutrition in Eau Claire, WI has two factories which manufacture infant formula and health care nutrition products.  The opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Intern to join our team!  The ideal candidate is a student enrolled in an Operations/Material Control related degree program who is looking to gain hands on work experience with an experienced Warehouse team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist and learn the processes of Warehousing in Supply Chain management. Support supervisors in the areas of Shipping and Receiving.  Provide day to day support of the Shipping Office, including assisting truck drivers, processing paperwork, small package processing and weekly load planning.  Assist with various Supply Chain Projects.
Hours: 1st shift M-F Flexible
Length of Internship: Flexible length internship up to 12 months (May 2017 – May 2018) Part-time hours (10-24) during school semesters and full-time hours (40) during summer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES

·Support and maintain Shift Hand Off (SHO) Boards for multiple locations in the warehouse.

·Perform studies and facilitate projects to improve the operations process. This should be both short-term and long-term continuous improvement.

·Identifies opportunities to eliminate non-value added activities and streamline job tasks to create a more efficient working environment.

·Provide operational and clerical support to the Material Control Department.

·Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

Required:  Working towards a four-year degree in Operations Management or similar field. 

 

EXPERIENCE:

No work experience necessary.

Preferred:  Manufacturing, Warehousing, or Supply Chain experience.

 

SKILLS:

·         Ability to work flexible hours

·         Above average communication skills (written and oral)

·         Service oriented attitude

·         Strong listening skills

·         Detail oriented

·         Problem solving skills

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required; SAP experience preferred
