POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Finance FP&A team is responsible to forecast and track the commercial (trade) spend by brand, be the voice of sales controlling in the business monthly strategic meetings (with each brand senior leadership), perform balance sheet reconciliations (of the related accounts) and running health checks and following up on the trade management system (Osprey). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Trade Forecasting and Accounting o Responsible to run our trade forecasting models, understand their results and use them to perform a trade forecast at brand level. o Responsible to load the forecasted trade into the system and to reconcile actuals vs. forecasted for senior finance leadership. o Participate, whenever possible, into the Monthly Business Process (MBP) – which are meetings done to deep dive on the performance and short-term strategy of each Brand with their leadership team. o Reconcile all trade related balance sheet accounts. o Lead the communication with the External Auditors (EY) o Closely monitor the Fixed Budgets (Slotting, Omni and Markdown) with Corporate Sales. o Prepare and present, to senior leadership, a quarterly review on the return on investment of the Fixed Budgets.
• Trade Management (Trade Promotion Management) o Create, run and follow up health-checks on the Trade Promotion Management system. Such as how events are named, classified, if all necessarily fields are filled, if deductions are timely cleared, accuracy of accruals, etc. o Share, twice per week, the Trade Rate Report (TRR) -which is a report that compares Sales and Trade goals by Customer by Brand – to field sales. o Track and obtain justification for material changes to the field sales/trade forecast and justify them to the internal team. o Become an TPM process Champion, by closely communication with the TPM Center of Competence. o Co-lead the promotional pre and post evaluation process, by closely working with the Trade Analytics team. o Co-lead the preparation and presentation, to senior leadership, of a quarterly review on the return on investments in Promotions. o Support the Customer Finance Managers especially during yearly planning (mid-year) and quarter-end accrual reviews.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: •BA/BS in business administration or related discipline •Experience in Sales, Marketing at a CPG company •Position requires less than 10% travel
EXPERIENCE: • 2+ years of industry related experience in Finance or Audit • Strong Excel Skills, good overall understanding of the CPG / Retail environment, solid finance/accounting background.
