The Lead Fleet Truck Mechanic’s primary purpose will require the individual to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, forklifts, tankers and trailers.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday 11 AM- 7:30 PM
A typical day might include:
• Troubleshooting and repairing fleet vehicles and equipment
• Programing and recording assigned preventative maintenance tasks
• Assisting in education of the Route Sales Representatives’ pre and post-trip inspections
• Receiving and processing invoices for payment for multiple locations and dealing with vendors
• Maintaining parts inventory and budgets
• Ensuring safe work practices
• Oversee Fleet Technicians and provide direction as assigned by Lead Technician
• Help schedule and support all work within the shop
• Coordinate training
• Manage costs according to budget and daily completion of repairs
• Ensure DOT compliance
• Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks
• Maintain shop housekeeping standards and prepare end of month reporting and/or any other administrative requirements
Compensation:
$5,000.00 Sign On Bonus (payable after 90 days of employment)
Competitive Hourly Rate + overtime pay (based on experience and education)
Shift Premium Pay (for 2nd and 3rd shifts)

What you need to have:
Two years technical education completed or have three years hands-on experience
High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
Ability to handle physical requirements, including, but not limited to, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds
Valid driver’s license
Ability to obtain CDL B Permit within one week of receiving offer of employment Ability to obtain CDL B License within 60 days of hire
ASE T4 Certification required within six months of employment
Positive team-player attitude
Possesses exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive
The ability to work independently
Microsoft Office computer skills (including Excel)
