As a Technology Expert – Connectivity (Network Architecture) at Nestlé’s St Louis, Missouri headquarters, you will be responsible for providing deep expertise and knowledge for the product or platform team in scope. You will guide and promote optimal use of technology to support the cost-effective delivery of business requirements within their area of expertise. You will be working at the leading edge of IS/IT for the product or platform, performing preliminary studies, helping to set the technical direction with the Product or Platform Manager. You will support delivery and sustain the most complex applications and business capabilities. You may be accountable for specific deliverables in relation to development or support or may lead the technical activity within their area of specialty. In this role you will be responsible for adapting and localizing Connectivity products such as, WAN, LAN, Internet, Remote Access etc., from the global team according to regional and local requirements (e.g. regulatory requirements).
Ensure IS/IT Customer and Consumer requirements are met and service quality maintained when introducing new products. Consider the cost effectiveness of proposed solutions.
Ensure that all solutions within their technology area are delivered and maintained secure and compliant with internal standards and external regulations, including privacy requirements such as GDPR.
Assist others in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problems and recommend SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely) solutions.
Participate in peer reviews of deliverables and carry out formal and informal reviews of technical designs, standards, documentation and implementations.
Provide deep specialist guidance, integration and support in your specific specialties.
Support and influence the technical activity (design, build, testing) in significant or complex innovation initiatives, accountable to the Innovation or Product Manager for the delivery and quality of technical deliverables.
Make recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services through the use of (emerging) technology, technical methods and methodologies.
Provide the product team with technical expertise, advising on best technology solutions, translating the business vision into technical vision.
Participate in the development of and review of standards, documentation and methods of working in the relevant area of expertise
Work with IS/IT Innovation managers, Product managers, Tech Leads, Solution Architects and Business Analysts to ensure any solution within their specificities fits with strategic and technical direction.
Provide guidance, directions and also, if needed, technical support to product teams, mentoring and sharing technology knowledge with the teams.
High School Diploma (or GED).
7+ years of experience in IT and/or Business Environment experience within an enterprise / global environment, as well as a strong background in implementing MPLS solutions.
5+ years of experience in implementing and resolving IS/IT connectivity issues, including those involving 3rd party suppliers.
Expertise in implementing and resolving issues related to LAN / WAN switching & routing (SDA included), SD-WAN, WLAN, Security Services technologies / firewalls, and associated management solutions (e.g. Cisco DNA Center).
Ability to understand the financial impact of technology alternatives, financial models and budgeting.
Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with different stakeholders, both verbally and written.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study.
Experience working with Cisco/Meraki hardware and associated technology.
Certification in corresponding technical fields (e.g. CCNP, CWNA, CISSP).
Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams.
Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of existing, new and emerging technologies that enable and drive new business designs and models.
Understanding and knowledge of IS/IT standards and controls.
